We chose to be part of the solution.

The Social Justice League is building a culture around social impact by creating an outlet for anyone to transform passion into action.

Our Stance

Far too often, lives are being taken from innocent Black men and women across the country as a result of racial injustices. Racial inequality is an ongoing, complex, systemic issue that requires funding and leadership across America's political, economic, legal, and social landscapes. While it is the Black community that is disproportionately targeted by this issue, we all have the choice to be a part of the solution.

Our Mission

Our mission as the Social Justice League (SJL) is to provide a platform for like-minded individuals and organizations to make genuine connections, combine skills & resources, and channel passion into action toward grassroots initiatives we develop with communities, and for communities to unlock immediate value & build long-term equity.

“When we look at corporate America, its philanthropy or the Diversity & Inclusion efforts, and their Board of Directors, you and your colleagues are different than previous generations.  Those of us who landed corporate jobs in the 80’s suppressed talk about race. There was an unwillingness to have candid conversations about race in the workplace. But now there is a renewed enthusiasm for leaning into the corporate space.  It’s clear that you don’t have to be an executive to a leader.”

Our Story

SJL was formed through a shared frustration toward the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery. We started with a $1,000 fundraising goal for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and the National Urban League. After investing significant time and energy into this effort, we ultimately raised a combined total of $818,538 from over 2,700 individual donors in 2 months.

However, we always understood that the message is just as important as the money, so we invested time in drafting leadership communications and identifying low-effort, high-value calls to action that anyone could take to make an impact. As a result of this effort, we were connected with over 200 like-minded individuals within our organization as well as external leaders in the Social Justice movement.

In order to capitalize on our achievements and our unique position within the cross-network of corporate professionals & social activists we’ve created, we formed the Social Justice League in order to commit to an ongoing, creative & scalable solution toward Social Development.
